Writen from the "important announcement" in today's mandatory labmeeting.
It's funny to imitate the tone of boss or wife of boss, anyway.
I have told you guys multiple times...balabala...You got to get your paper done by your leaving, March...balabala... in a a a publish qualified format...balabala...You gotta graduate, it's your own graduation...balabala...If you do nothing for a writen up by now, you got to be in a big trouble...balabala...I have to see a a a long abstract on your project with every single sentence approved. Who did that who said that what's the references...balabala...I don't mind if you guys enjoy your holidays and weekends totally Ok just get down in your work and make all the details clear in your mind...balabala...I need you read up on all the ralevent references and I need you to read, a lot, and find your target specific journal you wanna publish on and drag the papers, find out what's gonna be needed for publications on that specific journal... balabala...From now on, every single experiment you perform, has to be for the purpose of finishing publications...balabala... I need to get your email by next Monday on what's going on, what you have what you missing and the time line for getting everything done... balabala... Emphasize again, you guys phd students, you gotta care about your own situations here, if you don't have the ability to finish your paper I'm gonna have someone else to write them up and submit for publications. In that case you're out. You out of the lab, get back to China and do your phd...balabala...If your papers can't get published by June I'll dump the projects...balabala...For every researcher who wants to be the first author here, you'd better organize and propose all the figures in final publishable format, if pictures don't look good, find out the plates and take pictures again...balabala...If you can't make the figures publishable then get downstairs we have professionals to do that...balabala... You got two associated prof. in the lab, knock the door and say your questions. Whenever you have a question, ask, call them, or call me, that's why we working here...balabala...We've spent million in last two years without one paper out, things cannot be like this...balabala... So what I'm gonna ask you guys to do is sitting around, show your long abstracts to every collegue in the lab and talk what you have, what to be done, we will discuss and set a deadline for every manuscript, on next meeting... balabala... What I'm saying is, we are facing a difficulty now, I hope all of you, no matter how experienced you are, no matter how much you get paid for your work, everybody does something good to our lab, contribute to the lab running otherwise we won't be here this time next year...balabala... We are good, don't look upset, just things you know...balabalabala...Good announcement!~
